VISADOS PARA PERIODISTAS

Los periodistas que vayan a trabajar a Turquía, se les puede dar el visado ‘gazeteci’ sin la autorización previa de las Autoridades en Turquía, allí solicitarán gratuitamente de la Dir. Gral. de Información y Prensa o en su defecto de la Delegación de Gobierno el carné de periodista que le servirá como tarjeta de residencia (se recomienda también obtener la tarjeta de residencia para poder adquirir casas, abrir cuentas...).

Para la oficina del periódico habrá que solicitar los permisos de apertura, y para los trabajadores no periodistas se harán los trámites normales de visado de trabajo.

Foreign journalists who are assigned to Turkey must be accredited by the Directorate General of Press and Information ( DGPI ).

For accreditation, journalists must apply to any of the following DGPI offices:

Application for accreditation is done in person with the following documents:

-  Application form ( available at DGPI offices )
-  Letter of authorization from the applicant's organisation confirming his / her assignment to Turkey, including the purpose and duration of his / her visit.
- ID card issued by the applicant's organisation.
-  Letter of introduction from the Embassy or Consular Office ( in Turkey ) of the country where the organisation is based confirming his / her status as a member of the media.
-  Passport
-  Two passport - sized photographs.

Journalists who wish to work in the southeastern provinces of Batman, Diyarbakir, Hakkari, Mardin, Sirnak and Van to cover developments pertaining to Iraq must obtain special accreditation from the Press Centre in Diyarbakir.
